  • How to setup Deep Links for Android applications
Well, we could have added an intent filter for https://amazon.com/, but we obviously do not own this domain, and it would be really weird, and a major safety hazard, if the system would use our app to handle the link that points to the amazon.com domain. - Source: dev.to / 9 days ago
  • Need a good decaf and regular tea in the US?
The voltage of mains electricity in the USA is half that of the UK, which effectively caps the power of appliances (at least those not plugged into a separate high voltage circuit). Search for fast boil kettles on amazon.co.uk and you'll get a range of 3000W options to choose from, search for the same on amazon.com and you'll return 1500W results. Source: 6 months ago
  • Just a bit of a rant but what the fuck?? I was hoping for a price drop bit instead it sky rocket? Im such an idiot i couldve bougth it at 251 but instead was waiting for it to drop and this shit happens FML why why why why

  • Where are the best/cheapest places to shop?
I do amazon.com and .ca (I mostly only buy if it's shipped & sold by amazon or atmost shipped by so I can track/refund easier) as well as hlj but shipping and handling usually ends up costing more than the kits I'm buying lol... Source: 6 months ago
  • What the Google overlords don't want you to see
I mean, if you try to search for something simple like "buy flashlight", you get like 15 amazon.com results on the first page. So if you're trying to find a quality product from a company that specializes in making just that particular thing, so you can avoid all the Chinese sellers on amazon, you sometimes can't. Ever since I've learned about how shitty the work conditions were at amazon, I have tried to avoid... Source: 6 months ago

  • My Thoughts on Python in Excel
IMO the better paradigm is coming from enterprise applications like Anaplan. Cells are not the right abstraction to work with numbers. Most of the time you work with multi-dimensional quantities (eg revenue by product, geography, month). We’re working on a more approachable implementation of that paradigm at https://causal.app. - Source: Hacker News / 6 days ago

Congrats on the launch! We've been using Hypertune at Causal (https://causal.app) for the last few months and it's saved tonnes of engineering cycles letting me and our PM iterate directly on custom onboarding copy for different Causal templates, alongside more typical feature flag use-cases :). - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
