   Alugha is the ideal replacement for YouTube and Vimeo, if you target high end, private clients

   Alugha is amazing in transforming my workflow. I have been trying to look for a video hosting platform to serve my multilingual, private paying customers, and I tried Vimeo (on their Pro plan, annual payment), VooPlayer (no subtitling possible), HippoVideo, Swarmify, Rethink... I ended up using Alugha and couldn't be happier as they offer everything that I need and dream of.

   This tool is elegant, targeting the high end market, very well thought out, videos play fast, the team is responsive and keen to listen. I am amazed with their vision and wish the team all the best!

  The organization and ideas should transcend an individual. The organization right now seems headed for irrelevance, when the ideas seem to be really more needed now that ever. Right now he’s and his camp are in charge, so if he and the group want to run it into the ground so be it. Hopefully the ideas live on and some group can carry it forward. • Self-Hosting Public-Facing NextCloud Server

  Personally, I wouldn't use Nextcloud for photos. Instead, I'd look at Lychee, Media Goblin or something dedicated to photo hosting. Lychee looks great, but turned me off because when I looked at it, it seemed to be like Apple Photos in that it puts image files in a database file instead of just raw files in folders.
