    I haven't heard of, or experienced this, but if it's a big concern, consider Nugen Sigmod, to protect your outs (it's the only Nugen plugin in my price range). I always have it on my main out, and mostly use it for quick mono check with a simulated Avantone frequency response. Nugen's on the crazy-pro side of pricing schemes, so hopefully there are other, free plugins out there that do the same thing. Maybe... Source: almost 3 years ago
