This isn't really Chromecast - it's 'raspicast' and needs it's own app. There are tons of similarly titled howtos that make it sound like you can run your own chromecast server -- you can't, unless you buy an expensive thing from airserver.com or a cheap chromecast. Maybe try Reincubate Camo, a software to use the iPhone as camera which is independent of Apple's continuity. I used it on windows when working at home in 2020 and 2021 during pandemic, and it had quite good video quality superior to built in cam of my laptop. They have it also for MacOS. You can use Star Citizen's built in FOIP: all you need is a basic webcam or even an old smart phone. If you have a spare android phone lying around, Droidcam will work. If you have a spare iPhone lying around, reincubate camo studio will work. Source: over 1 year ago
