Disable all of your chrome extensions one by one to see if you can find the culprit. Run adwcleaner from Malwarebytes (https://malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/) in the settings make sure the switch to reset the hosts file is enablee, then hitmanpro (https://www.sophos.com/en-us/free-tools/hitmanpro). Unless Mullvad can be installed and started as a service, you'd need windows to login. I use Linux so I'm not 100% sure if Mullvad has an 'install as service' option for windows or not, but a quick google search looks like it's unlikely. Doesn't mean it cannot be done though, you can use programs like RunAsService to accomplish this fairly easily. Source: over 2 years ago
