I use Autodesk viewer to share preliminary 3ds at work, you'll have to sign up to upload and use it but once you have the link afterp you upload you can share it with anyone, there is a time limit of 30 days for uploads, but can be manually extended another 31 days https://viewer.autodesk.com/. I've heard good things about sketchup.com but it costs. If you are going to buy materials (cabinets, fixtures, etc) primarily form a single source I would check with them. I thought that Home Depot had a virtual design center, but it seems you need to physically go in. IKEA has a good design tool that I've used in the past - very advance and free.
