If your computer can run Windows 7, it can also run Windows 10 unless you have less than 1 GB of RAM or there are incompatible drivers. Otherwise try 3RVX for a volume on-screen display. Source: about 3 years ago

Free Music Archive has royalty free Creative Commons music. Tons of it, though you have to check the licenses carefully. A lot of them are for non-commercial projects only, so if you ever plan to sell an ad or otherwise make money on your show, don't use those.
