Based on our record, Rev.com seems to be a lot more popular than 3PlayMedia. While we know about 26 links to Rev.com, we've tracked only 1 mention of 3PlayMedia. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on Reddit, HackerNews and some other platforms. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
There are services such as 3playmedia.com that can transcribe within 2 hours of upload and deliver a .VTT or other subtitle/caption file (whatever is required for captions in your editing software). Our company has a monthly contract with them. They do a good job. There's an option to edit the text in their word editor if needed after they have transcribed. Good luck. - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
Rev.com - get paid by converting audio and video to text. - Source: Reddit / about 11 hours ago
I finding the ability to record audio files very useful in Evernote except for the fact that the file format is .webm. I'm finding that to be a real PITA. For one thing, rev.com doesn't accept that format for transcription. New user since 9+ months ago when audio recording was a feature yet to be restored. Was the audio format always .webm? Being able to choose between three or four formats would be SO useful. - Source: Reddit / 22 days ago
Hi UKInvestor2... Very well received here, no offense taken, but thank you. Also, please note the above exchange between me and Darcon regarding getting a transcript made. If you successfully record the webinar could you run it through rev.com please? - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
Hi again Darcon, thank you so much for that info... And while I am at it, thank you a million times more for the amazing contribution you have made to all the threads. You have spent an incredible amount of time to benefit all of us, and it is greatly appreciated. As luck would have it, depending on the timing of the coming webinar I will either be waiting to board a plane or up in the air, so I will be missing... - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
However, in the world we now live in it's possible to buy an auto-generated transcript relatively easily and cheaply through rev.com and other speech-to-text providers. If you pay extra you can have humans edit it for you. So if you need a transcript it's not impossible and it's just a case of organising one yourself. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
