  • Learning Azure - any practical use cases?
The first thing you should do is register a domain. For the below examples, I used 2xsidecar.com. You can use whatever domain registrar you like - I'd recommend Uniregistry, CloudFlare, or NameCheap. - Source: Reddit / 16 days ago
  • NMP and Internal Routing
    Get a real domain so you get a real cert. < $10/year > https://cloudflare.com. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
  • This has to be a scam, right?
That URL was just registered a couple of weeks ago. The WHOIS lookup on it doesn't really show much information who owns the site (which can be suspicious), and the name servers all point to cloudflare.com. Cloudflare is a legit DNS service, but kind of specializes in security and anonymity.....which in the case of a web shop is kinda suspect. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
  • About the current problems when trying to access the website.
Error code 502: Bad gateway , even cloudflare.com doent come up , so its server are down .. - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago

  • Is it normal for my WordPress site to have received 1647 brute force bot login attempts already? I have only had this site since mid-October. Should I be concerned?
Some hosts have it integrated in cPanel but generally you make an account at cloudflare.com add your website and DNS and then change your nameservers to point to the new ones that Cloudflare will provide. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
  • DNS resolver problems with AT&T fiber and Netgate 6100
My company has a Netgate 6100 and a 1 Gbps plan with AT&T fiber and we have the BGW320 for our uplink gateway from them. We have a Ubiquiti switch and when trying to configure this setup I was having a lot of trouble getting most websites to load. I could get google.com and cloudflare.com among others that I tried to use as my DNS server to load but most others including office.com would not. I tried following... - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago

  • NEW SHOP! please come check it out! https://pixelshop.tk or https://discord.com/invite/tqnCB2XbMc
It doesn't really prevent DDoS attacks though since the URL is in clear view. If you want to stop DDoS attacks the server should be behind Cloudflare. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
  • Cloudflare Named Certs
Been using WPEngine - and somehow I've lost my corporate wildcard SSL cert (*.widgetcompany.com) - and now seems as though I just have an SSL cert that is owned by Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) - would this be a problem for SEO. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
  • Large site, much data transfer
Image storage - cloudflare (use cloudflare infront of your website to cache images and distribute them via their CDN, bandwidth will most likely be free based on content type). - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
  • Migrating Wordpress from GCP to AWS
I use CloudFlare for some of my DNS services, which also provides some caching and DDOS protection. If using Amazon Route 53, or another DNS provider, the domain names and IPs would need to be updated in your provider so they would resolve properly. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
  • Best way to help my friend use my server?
After trying Tailscale (+ similar solutions), DuckDNS set up and generally most suggested reverse proxy tutorials, I found that by far just integrating Cloudflare's Zero Trust Tunnel was the easiest. 1. Get a domain (there are a ton of free options) (https://www.freenom.com/ - first google hit for me) 2. Create a Cloudflare Acc and verify the domain - https://cloudflare.com/ 3. Install the Zero Trust service - ... - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
  • Wifi keeps randomly cutting out, hardwired is fine, need help!
I had a very brief cut out earlier today and did a few things I saw recommended in other threads. I pinged 1.1.1.1 when I noticed the cut out. Then the connection had restored by the time I pinged cloudflare.com. But the tracert was "unable to resolve target". Pings to 1.1.1.1 said "Request timed out". - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
  • Trouble with the MiniRus Russian casualty website? What’s going on here? Possible hack? Checking daily to see Russia lose OVER 100% of its allotted tanks for this war has been a daily pleasure and a part of my life in 2022…
Minusrus.com is running off cloudflare.com. It's most likely an issue on the host's side. cloudflare.com is a DDoS mitigation company by-the-way. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
  • 5 Tools I add to every new web project for SEO and analytics
I use Cloudflare to manage the DNS records for all of my sites. In addition to having a really straightforward UI for DNS management, they offer a host of other features to keep your sites running well. This includes automated protection for DDoS attacks, maintenance mode, and performance enhancements such as origin server optimization and caching. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
  • How to improve the PageSpeed score of your Nuxt.js website in 6 steps
The whole site is deployed in the static mode, meaning all pages are pre-generated and served as static HTML files, so no server runtime is required. Everything is then loaded on multiple replicas, cached, and distributed through a Cloudflare CDN, which makes the site incredibly lightweight and resilient, as it requires negligible computing resources. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
  • A Comprehensive Guide to Deploying Laravel Applications on AWS Elastic Beanstalk
I've already bought the laravel-on-beanstalk.site domain on NameCheap for this article. If you use some other provider, such as GoDaddy or CloudFlare, the process should be almost the same. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
  • Domain with email inbox included
I would suggest purchasing your domain from Cloudflare they'll be the cheapest for most TLD's. Within the cloudflare dashboard you'll have the option to use their email service which is free, you can setup your new domain e.g. coolnewdomain.co.uk with an email like [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) which can be forwarded to your personal email. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
  • Can't access any service hosted on Cloudflare
Same issue since ~1:30 am ET. Verizon FiOS with Cloudflare DNS servers via DHCP caused DNS errors. Switching to Google DNS servers resolved that. However, we cannot access cloudflare.com to open a ticket and many of our sites are unreachable. Some of the sites are separate accounts, so it doesn't appear to be account specific. - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago
  • Cloudflare outage on June 21, 2022
DNS: The device has asked Google's DNS server (8.8.8.8) what the IP address for cloudflare.com is and gotten the response of "1.1.1.1". (This is wrong as that is the IP of Cloudflare's DNS server, not their primary domain). - Source: Reddit / 9 months ago

10+ Free CDN Services to Speed Up WordPress
So I’ve been using Cloudflare for the last month, and it seems to be doing pretty well with Wp-Rocket. However, I’ve seen faster websites and am curious – is it because I’m on a Free plan? and not on a paid plan? Is a Free plan much worse than paying for Cloudflare? Would another CDN be better with WP-Rocket, or is WP-Rocket a bad plugin to use alongside Cloudflare? I’m going for as fast a website as I can get.
