I assume there must be some way to disable this function, but it would be a bad idea for you to click links without knowing where they're sending you. Especially make sure you check shortened URIs from random people online (e.g. Reddit posts) using services like tinyurl or similar, using a checker, like https://checkshorturl.com/. Weird thing is: the link didn't ask me to install anything. I've checked my apps: there are no unknown apps installed. Also, I have scanned my phone twice and both times the antivirus said the phone was clean.
