Unless you speak Japanese or want to play in another language, in which case, go with those options. • Fun single player pc games?

  If you're into Metroidvanias, I cannot Cave Story enough. It's really fun, and has an excellent story. Although you have to pay for an enhanced version on Steam, you can get the freeware version on cavestory.org for, well, free.
