I wouldn't use Reddit for that. Try something like Bumble instead. BTW: This app can be used for dating, but also you can just use it to make friends in your local area. Source: 29 days ago
Dating app Bumble, along with UN Women UK, TV personality Amy Hart, and magazine Grazia, are advocating for a change in the UK's proposed Online Safety Bill (OSB) regarding the issue of cyberflashing. Cyberflashing involves sending unsolicited nude images without consent, and the current legislation is based on whether the sender had harmful intent. However, Bumble and its supporters argue that this approach is... Source: about 1 month ago
It is unfortunately less prominent, but "On Bumble, women make the first move." is the fourth 'sentence' on the website. Source: 3 months ago
You could try the Bumble[0] app to find friends in your local area. Haven't tried it since I have a close cadre of friends already. I would like to try it out of curiosity though! [0] https://bumble.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago

Bumble started as a dating app, but they have since launched two other platforms - Bumble BFF (for friend making) and Bumble Bizz (business networking). All three platforms are found within the same app, which is simply called Bumble. https://bumble.com/. Source: 8 months ago
Founded in 2014, Bumble is a dating app that prioritizes women's safety. It has a clear sense of design with intuitive features. Bumble is one of many examples of dating apps that use progressive web app technology to improve users' experience. After downloading Bumble, users don't have to sign in through a browser every time they use it because everything is stored on their phones. The app offers push... - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
Are there any differences between phone profiles (phone + app) and PC profiles (tinder.com or bumble.com)? Using their websites would be way more convenient as I wouldn't need to buy a new phone. Source: 11 months ago
Alternatively - bumble.com has a facility to find friends near you. It's an app. It's like tinder, but its not for dating or hook-ups, it's to find platonic friends. It normally shows you your own gender/sex so you can find men your age near you who are also looking for friends. (I guess that depends on settings). Source: about 1 year ago
I tried Bumble and hated it (based on picture rather than personality which isn't my thing). Source: about 1 year ago

If I was building this website the first thing I would do is figure out the focus. Is it for investors, or for users? Then I would highlight the reason why someone should care about your app. No offense, but there are a ton of dating apps. Why should anyone care about yours? If the site is for users, you need to tap into why people want to use a dating app - because they are lonely. Dating is a personal, social... Source: over 1 year ago
My friend used bumble.com for a while (some hilariously bad stories) before meeting her husband. It can be used for networking and finding friendships too, but it also has a "swipe" kind of thing. Never used it, I'm not looking. Source: over 1 year ago
It's like a dating app but it has a friend and work version. https://bumble.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
Tip: If you use Bumble and want to check out the premium features, do not use the app. The internet version (bumble.com) has lower prices. Source: over 1 year ago
Not sure of the range of demographics applicable for this suggestion but Bumble - tis a dating app yes, but there is also a segment for Bumble BFF and Bumble Bizz for people to collaborate in a work sense. Source: over 1 year ago
Especially for women, I reccomend Bumble since it's a 'female led' company and they have it so men can't send messages first. Yes there is tinder-style swiping, but if you match with someone, only the woman can initiate conversation. In this way, women never get flooded with messages, and so they are far more likely to participate. Source: over 1 year ago
Have to use https://bumble.com to use the app at the moment on my desktop... Has been working fine until tonight.. Now I get "Oops! Something went wrong." whenever I try and sign-in (don't even get asked for my info). Source: almost 2 years ago
However, I do know a lot of people make friends using the Bumble app. Source: about 2 years ago
