SOCKS, came here to say this. Also, some people are too proud to beg (I was. No judgements to those flying a sign, but I couldn't bring myself to do that) But offering a fresh pack of socks to someone who looks like they need it? A potential 'faux pas' worth making...also love Bombas https://bombas.com/ wherever they are sold. They give away a pair for every sold. (And I saw these all the time at 'clothing... Bombas is specifying known for high end socks. I have a couple places of Bomba socks and they are good. I’ve bought socks from Puma a few times and was always very happy (good fit, comfortable, long lasting). If you’re looking for dress socks then idk. Source: over 1 year ago
Happens to me, but only certain styles of socks. Also, it happens more when I'm wearing slippers around the house than in shoes. I found a new pair for $1USD in a thrift store, I will keep my eye out for more. Source: over 1 year ago

Bombas FTW... The wool are great as they keep you warm yet if how, wick away moisture. And Bombas donates a pair for each one you buy. (note, they ain't cheap so mind your washing of the wool ones else you replace every year or so). Source: over 1 year ago
As for clothes. I'd take layers. I used to row crew in the winter in college and 3 t-shirts, insulated shorts (like biker pants) with loose shorts over, plus nice socks like Bombas and you should be good to go. Don't layer your socks, you'll sweat, your feet will slip and, if it's cold enough outside, will chill and you'll be miserable. Hat! Knitted, warm. All your heat will leave through your neck and head if... Source: over 1 year ago

A sub, a site, or even names of businesses would be great. This year I'd like friends and family to buy me things from businesses that do charitable (or activist) work when you purchase something from them. Bombas is a good example of what I'm looking for. Source: over 2 years ago
