A VM is the original “hosting” product of the cloud era. Over the last 20 years, VM providers have come and gone, as have enterprise virtualization solutions such as VMware. Today you can do this somewhere like OVHcloud, Hetzner or DigitalOcean, which took over the “server” market from the early 2000’s. Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Microsoft's Azure also offer VMs, at a less... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

I make backup snapshots using Restic and I store them in Azure, but I only use Azure because I have some free resources there. There are many other equally good cloud storge providers. I also store a copy of the backups on my desktop. That way I have 3 copies of the data on 2 local machines and 1 remote. Source: 11 months ago
Before you install Helm, you must configure/create a Kubernetes Cluster. We will install Helm on the configured Kubernetes Cluster. There are various Kubernetes Kubernetes Clusters that you can configure. Cloud providers like Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure have a dedicated Kubernetes Cluster that you can configure and use. In this tutorial, we will not use any of the cloud providers, instead, we will use a... - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
However, I do use restic for my much smaller documents and photos folders where I do want snapshots. I'm still playing with where all that backup will be copied to, but I have some free Azure resources and I've setup restic to backup to that (Amazon S3 would work just as well). I've also played with Minio for the same purpose since it is S3 compatible. I have two other mini pcs that I don't use much now that I... Source: 12 months ago

Nothing quite as serious as full ISO 15066 compliance, for this project it’s just a goal and overall a proof of concept for academia so if it falls short in some areas it’s okay. It’s funny that you mention the Kinetic, we are actually using a distant relative, the Azure Kinect which, like you mentioned, has some pretty impressive accuracy and ability for what it is.
