That doesn't really surprise me. I believe the Scite Science AI is based off of the same OpenAI architecture as ChatGPT, and although Scite does tend to be much more reliable than ChatGPT for Science and Medical related questions it still is not without its faults. I don't tend to take anything artificial intelligence says as gospel really.
