Google Podcasts is launching a redesign on iOS and Android

In reaction to the recent news that Google plan to shut down Google Podcasts and roll it into YouTube Music, I made a couple of comments on the announcement. I realized that I should probably share them here as well. Any further thoughts will be shared in separate posts.

YouTube Music is a streaming app primarily designed for Android and iOS mobile devices. The app lets individuals search for music from their favorite artists, enjoy playlists, and access 30 million musical tracks.

Juice is a cross-platform podcast receiver.

I am a very long time podcast consumer, from before I had a mobile device to play them on. Listening via PC or burning episodes to CD-RW so I could listen in the car on my commute. Google Podcasts is exactly what we need: simple and concise. When moving this to YT Music, it has to be absolutely flawless and exceptionally motivating. Some very simple features can be added: Smart queues, auto-adding episodes to the queue ranked by importance.
