Yeah that's completely reasonable, but I bet the franchise owner still wants people to buy stuff from the stores. I see this a lot in websites for big corporations, where their internal affairs or less customer-centric pages are on the first paint of the website. In the end, the customer doesn't really know or care about the organization structure or if it's a franchise model or not, they go to ikea.com because they want to go to ikea and buy stuff hopefully. They might want to read a multinational corporation's view of covid-19 and climate change, but it makes more sense to put in on an about page or on another site like for example internal.ikea.com or ikea.com/corporate.
