If you're learning Linux check out ubuntu or better yet multipass, its ubuntu virtualization you can access via command on windows, mac or even Linux. I find it's a lot easier to get the most out of hacking exercises with the basic command skills under my belt. This book was a really good refresher, worth checking out.
