General Advice The job market is extremely competitive right now. According to layoffs.fyi almost 170,000 people have lost their jobs since the start of 2023. Not all of those are support, of course, but there's A LOT of people looking for work right now in the technology spaces. Speaking with a few manager friends of mine, many roles are receiving between 1,000 to 2,000 applicants per role. (I had an open role a year ago and received ~900 applications.) All that to say that my best piece of advice is to keep searching and keep applying. Unfortunately, the sheer volume of applications makes it hard to even get to a first interview with the company. Some companies don't even respond to all applications. It sucks and companies really should find ways to respond to everyone, but don't let it discourage you. Keep searching and keep applying.
