Why pronunciations/phonemes differ so much from one site to another ?

Hi, you all ! Sorry if this is kinda out of place, but I really don't understand how phonemes works. I'm trying to create a small website to help my gf learn/recognize English (UK) phonemes. In her class, they use ldoceonline.com as their right. However, this website doesn't provide an easy way to retrieve pronunciations nor some type of quiz to replace my crappy site. I therefore went to wiktionary.org and dictionaryapi.dev. Those however results in "wrong" pronunciation, as they were not the same as ldoce.
