How do I control Bose external speaker volume connected to a dell monitor via aux cable while the monitor is connected via USBC to my Mac? I can control the volume of the speakers inside the monitor using MonitorControl but not the external speakers..

If it doesn't the only other choice is to keep the monitor volume fixed to 100% and change the software volume instead using somethinge like SoundSource or eqMac.
