Vimm’s Lair

Vimm’s Lair is an elegant site that is dedicated to nostalgia for many of the new game consoles ever made that set the path to find the thousands of games inside.

I'm new to the emulating world and have ordered the ayn lite which will be here in two days. I've watched tutorials read some articles and reddit threads and am still clueless about some things. For instance, I believe I loaded the correct bios files(I got it off a reddit thread and apparently its for all gaming systems). I downloaded a 7zip and installed(I believe I need that in order to open the game files). I'm currently downloading games for Nintendo systems all the way up to WII and all Nintendo handhelds, also PS1, 2 and PSP, Sega, Saturn and Dreamcast and am getting them from Vimm.net and Romulation.org. I know I have to download emulators but is there a limit to how many emulators you can have? What about optimizing the system and what not to do so it doesn't get damaged? I'm follwing Taki Udon and Retro Game Corps but they don't seem to break everything done for someone who has never done this before. And don't get me started on the terminolgy, it seems you have to be a rocket scientist just to understand. I need a guide for dummies. Help!!
