    Nova by Panic is by far the most polished and "Mac-like" one out there. Panic also makes Transmit, which has been the go-to FTP/SFTP Mac client for about 20 years (but Nova has the same SFTP engine built-in.).

    Visual Studio Code is really solid. I use it on any project in which I'll also have to be doing some portion of the dev on a Windows box, the apps are basically identical on both platforms and the sync service is great at keeping extensions and settings the same between different devices.

    Nobody mentioned (wonder why), but 10 years ago I used work in NetBeans. I thought it was fantastic and I can see it is still being developed.
