As for buying on Amazon anonymously, yes you can use a different name for mailing but the payment information still give them plenty of personal information since you have to use the name on the card. For that anyone is better off abandoning the account and starting a new account as anonymously as possible, like only accessing the website on a contained tab, using a good VPN, using a fake name you haven't used before, and for payment use virtual payment cards.

Anyway I would not keep there anything important and took the account itself as something that can disappear anytime. If you want to be "fair" I'd buy the books you want, then download them somewhere else and use something like Calibre to upload them to Kindle.
