my 2 monitor setup, just need to find out how to connect them.

sshfs Barrier Synergy
  1. 1
This is a filesystem client based on the SSH File Transfer Protocol.
I daily drive a desktop + laptop setup using Barrier (free software that allows you to use a single keyboard/mouse across multiple computers), although for Windows Mouse Without Borders (also free) is probably a better choice, as it is developed by Microsoft for Windows. I also use SSHFS to link my files and one of PulseAudio's built-in features to stream all audio from my laptop to my desktop, though both of those only work on Linux. If on Windows, this seems to be the best method for file sharing, and for audio, you might take a look at this.

I am a big fan of Synergy (which is offspring IIRC of Mouse Without Borders) which lets you share a mouse across systems. Synergy is cross-platform and works very well, it is a paid software. My sole complaint has been that on occasion, it loses track of the clipboard and settings must be re-applied within the application.
