Are we living in a stock photo post apocalypse?

But nothing awesome comes without a cost. I started my studies with sites like sxc.hu to find a wealth of hi resolution, raw unprocessed uploads to use in my projects. Now I find myself regretting not building up my own photography library over the years, thinking that this stuff would always be available. Now it seems like I have a choice between google image search and a few very sad looking stock photography sites. Adobe purchased sxc.hu and seems to have flushed it down the toilet, catering to corporate designers and the like, with pre-processed garbage for the minimal effort crowd.

I used to love sxc.hu! I used them a tone back in the 2000s while I was in college, and even put out some photos on it. Since theybe changed over time I stopped using them. I use pixabay.com these days but I agree with what you are saying.
