Visual Novels are a bit difficult to recommend. It depends what plot tropes, characters, and theme you're into, so I'll just throw the visual novel database for you to find your potential game. I love this website, because they're like a huge library where I can find information on VNs that may interest me, using their tags and filtering system. I'm a fan of Sci-fis, so if you haven't tried games like Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes, I highly recommend.
