How to style text in *any* markdown text editor?

As a means to have a simpler time editing documents, simpler interface, not too many bells and whistles kind of thing, I've tried my hand at a number of various Markdown text editors. I've tried Formiko, Retext, Ghostwriter, Typora and Apostrophe (the later two via Flatpak).

Remarkable

I don't have that much experience with it, but remarkable lets you choose any font and font size you want.
