Eh, maybe. AI Dungeon is better now than what it was during the controversy, but I still think it's significantly worse than it was back in 2020 and early 2021. Other similar applications have also gotten better over time. AI Dungeon is certainly usable, but it might be worth it to check out NovelAI and HoloAI; those are currently AI Dungeon's main competitors. I'd say to test their free trials, test out current AI Dungeon, and see what application you like best between NovelAI, HoloAI, and AI Dungeon.
