Buying a house for the first time—any advice?

Google Security Key Enforcement bitwarden Authy
  1. Enforce the use of security keys to help prevent account takeovers.
I freely admit that getting spear-phished scared the piss out of me. It scared me so bad, that I actually bought and installed a Titan Security Key on my Google Accounts. If I want to log into my email on a new machine, not only does it ask me to enter the code from Authy, it also asks me to plug the key into my computer.

  2. Bitwarden is a free and open source password management solution for individuals, teams, and business organizations.
    Pricing:
    • Open Source
    • Freemium
    • $10.0 / Annually (Premium)
Get a password manager. I personally suggest Bitwarden. It's easy, it's open-source, meaning people are auditing it all the time, it's free, and best of all, you can access it if you lose your phone. And now that you have a password manager to help you remember all those passwords, MAKE THEM HARD! Bitwarden actually keeps an archive of passwords that have shown up in breaches, so you can tap that little checkmark next to your password, to see if it's been found in the wild.

Best rated Two-Factor Authentication smartphone app for consumers, simplest 2fa Rest API for developers and a strong authentication platform for the enterprise.
Get a 2-factor authentication app. Google Authenticator works well, but it's not very flexible. If you lose your phone, you're screwed. I personally suggest Authy, for all the same reasons I suggest BitWarden. I also suggest these two, because you and your boyfriend will be able to share those accounts via a token. Which can be revoked if he ceases to be your boyfriend.
