Obsidian.md ChronoGrapher
  1. A second brain, for you, forever. Obsidian is a powerful knowledge base that works on top of a local folder of plain text Markdown files.
    There's also general-purpose desktop wiki software like Obsidian.md. It's not designed with worldbuilding in mind, but allows you to create a "vault" of plain text files that can link to each other and embed images. It's entirely offline and free for personal use and available for a wide range of platforms.
