I need some help my windows explorer keeps crashing when opening downloads video attached (downloads “not responding” then I open a bunch of files and folders fine and then click downloads and then “not responding”)

    I understood the problem only appears when you open the downloads folder. That's why I recommended looking at Windows search first. If you want to precisely diagnose the problem, you'll need a tool to inspect the child-threads spun up by explorer.exe when you navigate to the downloads folder. Sysinternals Tools has two tools, Process Explorer and Process Monitor, which can do this. You will need some technical skills and patience to use either of these, but Procmon is definitely the more powerful (and more difficult) of the two.
