I use xplorer2 instead of windows explorer, cmder instead of the built in command line, also irfanview and a couple more handy apps to replace/extend basic functionality. I understand that Linux might offer better tools out of the box in some areas, but when I last tried Linux Mint - which is supposed to be the user friendly one, right? - and it couldn't connect with my Android for simple file transfers, I came to the conclusion that it isn't that user friendly after all :).
