If you don't mind handling notes using markdown, Obsidian could be a great option. Personally I just prefer reading my notes in rich text.

Notesnook is multi-platform too but it's pretty new, so may not have all the features you want. It's quite snappy though. I'm mentioning it only because I had a positive discussion about its future with the developer a while ago on this subreddit. Though I haven't seen updates about new features since then. So you'll have to do your own due diligence for this one.
