Recently, there has been a user posting links (all ending in .cf) that allegedly install a virus onto your device when clicked. This violates Reddit's terms of service, though all I have to go off of is the word of a few users. However, this user is also violating rule 9, spamming, and is using alternate accounts to evade the permanent bans on numerous other accounts of theirs. As a result, posts have had to be restricted using subreddit settings for the first time. Previously, posts were only restricted by the rules, and posts violating the rules--such as those linking to YouTube videos--were manually removed. Now, posts have been restricted to the following hosting sites: imgur.com, gfycat.com, redgifs.com, and reddit.com. These are well-known and trusted hosting sites. Additionally, posts with titles containing any of numerous prohibited words or phrases are prohibited (these words and phrases will not be disclosed to prevent this user from working around them).
