  3. Xonsh is a Python-powered, cross-platform, Unix-gazing shell language and command prompt.

    I've been using xonsh (pronounced conch) for a couple years now, it's basically a python shell with bash compatibility. It's really really nice, though sometimes it chokes up on a bash command, but if that happens you can just easily go into bash, so it's not a big deal.
