As far as I'm aware, Google's engineering presence in Dublin is purely SRE, so there is a chance that they'll consider some DevOps experience as a plus. For example, if you've worked with Prometheus, it should be easier for you to understand how monitoring works at Google.

There are technologies like gRPC, Blaze, Abseil which are either used as they are inside Google, or have very similar internal counterparts. Knowledge of such things would definitely prove valuable during your apprenticeship, but I have no idea if it's something that will be considered for the recruitment process at all.
