Network UPS Tools

Another solution that is better suited for a variety fo types of power failure is to plug a UPS with USB monitoring into the same outlet as your freezer0. Plug the USB into an RPi, and run Network UPS Tools on it. You can script NUT to provide power information, and use that with your home control system of choice to provide monitoring information, and you can setup automations from there. I set it up inside SmartThings to provide details, and SmartThings can notify me when it gets tripped due to a power failure. It wouldn’t be hard to push an event to an MQTT instance if you have one setup, and there’s likely a plugin for Home Assistant (I believe there is one for Home Bridge as well).
