Open Source software- as in all its code is visible/readable by any programmer, who can identify and make publically known if the creator of the program ever adds something shady like malware into the software- exists to remove this data from your photos. On Android phones I would suggest https://gitlab.com/juanitobananas/scrambled-exif; on computers (Windows, Mac, or Linux) I'd suggest https://exifcleaner.com. Both these programs are open source and well-vetted for (and are also available free of charge). 😉.
