Protonmail or Tutanota mail?

Mailfence Criptext
  1. Easy to use end-to-end encrypted email. Secure and private email.
    Pricing:
    • Freemium
    • Free Trial
    • €2.5 / Monthly (Entry, 5GB emails,10 aliases,)
The thing that bothers me about both of these services is that they are the one generating the encryption keys for you on their servers (so is that truly private), the email metadata isn't encrypted and unless you pay for it you can't export your data. Or at least that is my understanding of what these services are lacking? Do people have any experience with some of the alternatives I saw out there? Cryptext (claims to be the most private), Telios (a p2p email), Hushmail (they do electronic signature too and webforms) and Mailfence (don't seem to have a differentiator) ProtonMail has some good stuff but as I mentioned above some big things are lacking for me.
