Quad9 is a free, recursive, anycast DNS platform that provides end users robust security protections, high-performance, and privacy.
Quad9. It's got more servers in more places, notably ones which are closer to me and give me faster answers. It has better performance on encrypted traffic than any of the others. It has a better privacy policy, and better yet, as a non-profit which exists specifically for the purpose of providing service without collecting data, its incentives are properly aligned such that it actually has good reasons to follow that policy, and no reason to undermine it. It has malware and phishing blocking which is 98% effective, while others only catch 10%-50% of malware.
