That entire experience really reinforced my decision to get out of blogger and go *anywhere* else. WriteFreely (write.as) worked out for me. Jekyll will import your blogs from Blogger (once you export them), so you could configure Jekyll with whatever theme and then use that to import your blogger posts converting them on the way if you were of a mind to self-host - suggestions here were netlify, neocities, tildes, GitHub/GitLab pages, etc. Just a thought.
