[AO3/ Fandom] “Sexy times with Wangxian:” How one hated fanfiction and its record-breaking (and computer-breaking) number of tags caused mass protests on one of the internet’s largest fansites

Fanfiction.net
  1. The most popular fan fiction website in the world according to Wikipedia
As a fanfiction.net boomer who reads AO3 fics when they're recced to him, but has repeatedly given up on actively searching through those byzantine tags himself, this was almost cathartic. I really hope this leads to AO3 addressing the issue, you shouldn't have a list of tags longer then your actual story summary.

  2. A site for user scripts.
It's pretty easy to use/install most of these userscripts, just install the Tampermonkey extension on your browser and then download the script. The main page of greasyfork gives a pretty good overview of the steps: https://greasyfork.org/en.
