Take a look at the example at the top of https://tailwindcss.com/ when they start adding responsive utility classes e.g. Changing text alignment and border radius on mobile only. I don't think most of that can be done with clamp. If the designs are simple enough that only clamp is needed, Tailwind probably makes less sense.
