Why our public status pages are better than others?
We rely on the combination of both automated checks and user reported issues. Quite often, purely automated uptime monitoring cannot provide the full picture.
-
How often do you check if a service is down?
If there are reported issues or interest in a specific service, we might check as frequently as every minute. However, we may check less frequently for services with less interest or fewer reported issues. For example, once every hour.
-
What is the best way to report an issue?
The easiest way to report an issue is to use the single-click light-yellow buttons at the top of this page. They represent the most common issues and are the fastest way to report an issue. Nevertheless, you can also use the 'Report an Issue' button or link at the top to report any issue you may have with the service. Also, you are more than welcome to use the comments box and discuss any tips, solutions or resolutions with the community.

What is "Uptime Monitoring" and do you track it?
Service Uptime Monitoring is a service that checks the availability of a website or service. It can be used to monitor the uptime and downtime of a website or service. Yes, we do track it, but we also rely on user reported issues to provide the most accurate status. Some of the benefits are: Early detection of service disruptions; Better communication with users; Increased reliability.
SaaSHub's Down Detector checks the status of services automatically and regularly. However, we cannot promise 100% accuracy. That is why we depend on user reported issues as well. The Plot Factory status here can help you determine if there is a global outage and Plot Factory is down for everyone or if it is just you who is experiencing problems. Please report any issues to help others know the current status.

I NEED this website to work. I’ve been trying to get into it since the website went offline and it has ALL of my data I have for my characters. Also does anyone know if there is a link to the actual Plot Factory Discord that can be shared? I tried going through my old emails sent by them but the links are now invalid
If anybody knows of a way to get my work off of this website PLEASE HELP ME! I have a 12,000 word draft that is gone. Pleas please please help
I thought this was a trusted website. If they ended up scamming us all, I will take action. I NEED that work back.
I used the site for my DND group. I signed up for a free trial which ends tomorrow. I haven't seen anything about it on their Twitter and it's been down for 3 days. Really annoying considering that's 21% of my trial the site has been down.
I realized it came back on after almost a month down only yesterday and now I'm getting a 500 server error -- I want to cry.
I just subscribed to the site, not realizing its had issues before...and none of my stuff is backed up :|
Hey, can I get the discord name here, I can't find it with Plot factory or "The plot thickens". Please I have a lot of work on there that I need.
Plot Factory has taken down their discord and their contact email is no longer working either (Automatic bounce back). This seems extremely shady. How do we find out what is going on? They can't just take everyone's money, shut down, not tell anyone anything, and cause thousands of people to loose their work - without taking any accountability or repercussions!?! Something must be done to rectify this. Think of all of the thousands of hours people have put in, and the money they made from us... Very suspicious behavior...
If PF never returns, I will be hard pressed to finish my novel. Half my written words and all my planning are POOF
It's been 16 days and Plot Factory has not posted anything about their site being down!? That's extremely irresponsible. I have an entire novel that I trusted them with, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. They have proposed no explanation nor solution for their users. This looks really really bad for them. They owe it to their customers to at least offer an explanation/solution.
Really hope this site goes back up?? I assume it doesn't have incredibly heavy traffic, but I have a lot of material on there that I don't have elsewhere and would be really upset if I lost. If they're shutting down I'd hope they'd at the very least let users download some plaintext or something of everything they have there...
I would check your Dropbox, everything should have backed up to it, or check out the Discord Kai linked to below, there's more information there!
Paid for a January subscription on the 5th and on the 9th the site went down. Could not access it at all. It's been down for two days now and there has been no response from any staff on the issue on Discord, Twitter, or even through emails. It's a writing platform and now all of that work is gone. If I wanted to pay for my work to disappear, I would have just used Microsoft Word. This is completely unacceptable.
This is the link that the above person is talking about

Hi, this link doesn't work (says invite is invalid). Is there another way to get to the Discord server? I searched on Discord but nothing came up.
Search Discord for "the plot thickens" group, that has all the details around what's happening to the site
Check out the Discord for Plot Factory, there is instruction on how to get back into your account so you can download your work, and cancel your sub. There is also a new Discord called The Plot Thickens, created because there isn't a moderator for the Plot Factory discord.
Link please? I cant find the link anywhere at all :/
May I get the Discord link? I can't get to them with the site down.
