Now, if you're doing it for real, the best and also most common method is simply, "use a computer". Many computer systems are really, really good at solving these equations and inequalities. You can also graph it and see on the graph every time it crosses zero. You can even do it for free without fancy software. There are a lot of web calculators that can do it, but one options is using wolframalpha.com. Source: 6 months ago
This is how the functionality of scientific calculators and tools like MATLAB and WolframAlpha is implemented. Source: 6 months ago
Go to wolframalpha.com, and ask it to evaluate. Source: 11 months ago
Do not go for a "one-use" calculator... Go for something that does it all if you know what you're doing. Go to wolframalpha.com. Source: 12 months ago
Some context: - Each "Card" you see is a reference to a block inside a big page called "Remarkable distributions". That page also contains more details (proofs, notable properties, ...) about each distribution. - The plots are generated using wolframalpha.com. I can just type "normal distribution" and I get a nice plot with different variations of the distribution's parameters. Source: about 1 year ago
Wolfram Alpha is a free website http://wolframalpha.com where you enter text or a formula and the website gives you what it thinks is the best response. It’s great at doing calculations, solving equations, and looking up data (e.g., “speed of light in inches per millisecond”). Source: about 1 year ago

The goal of this post is just to encourage us to consider the possibility of these as base-36 numbers. You can use https://wolframalpha.com to convert base-36 to other bases, just type in ff_36 for example to see the result of treating ff as a base-36 value. Source: about 1 year ago
Https://wolframalpha.com or https://www.wolframcloud.com/ the latter of which is much more powerful, but requires a free account and has limited free usage. Source: about 1 year ago
This is the kind of fun question that Wolfram Alpha can give you a lot more information about. Source: about 1 year ago
If you are unfamiliar with the math to solve for x in an exponential equation, you can use a site like wolframalpha. Source: about 1 year ago
You might be able to just plug these into https://wolframalpha.com. Source: about 1 year ago
Go type it in wolframalpha.com as 6/2(6-4) and you'll see how it breaks down. Source: over 1 year ago
Copy this to wolframalpha.com and take a screenshot. After printing that ss, you need to apply to EA by FAX. They will tell you if you will get him or not. Source: over 1 year ago
I like to use Wolframalpha when I need to see probability curves (if that's what you're asking). Enter in "1d6" or "3d6" and you can see how one die has a linear distribution of results whereas multiple dice have a curved distribution. Basically each result on only one die all have an equal chance. Multiple dice means that there are results that will happen a lot more than others. Source: over 1 year ago
There are other alternatives like Presearch.org, Brave Search or wolframalpha.com ? Source: over 1 year ago
There's /r/domyhomework but it's not free. wolframalpha.com is a nice automated way to solve some problems, and brainly.com (and many other sites) offer free human help. Source: over 1 year ago
That said, there are tools available such as wolframalpha.com to help with this and help close the knowledge gap. Source: almost 2 years ago
If you mean in general, wolframalpha.com when I want to know what the schwarzschild radius of a black hole with the mass of the observable matter in the universe is, or anything with units. If the units don't cancel I at least know my math was shit. Source: almost 2 years ago
Do you think being able to write things in plain english would help? Some CAS have some support for that. On https://wolframalpha.com/ for example you can write "three times x squared plus five x plus one equals zero" and it will convert to 3x2 + 5x + 1 = 0 and plot and find roots for you. Normal ISS comm is routed through two geosync comsats to a ground station at White Sands, then to Houston. For the sats to have good line-of-sight to White Sands they need to be positioned not exactly opposite each other, leaving a 'zone of exclusion ['ZOE'] over the India longitudes [opposite White Sands]. Check the times of loss-of-signal with the ISS orbital position [use wolframalpha.com for a map]. The idea... Source: almost 2 years ago
