I've been rather happy with Librera, although when reading foreign languages, I prefer KOReader for its locally installed dictionary lookups (you have to add them). Note that these are both reader software, first, and not advanced library management packages (as far as I know). The last I checked, Librera also had two versions on the Play store, with the paid pro (or whatever) version sending a few dollars towards... - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago

As a side note, Librera reader has option to view pages by halves. So you first scroll through the left column, then right. Bookmarks recognize the layout and will send you to proper page. Reading full width of PDF would be a pain on mobile. Source: over 1 year ago
Librera can certainly do this. BUT not all pdf files are created equal. Internally pdf's do not have to have text. They can and sometimes do, but the text can also be poorly implemented. And it is up to the reader to make sense of what the text is trying to do, which leads to problems. If the pdf was born digital it is less of a problem, but they can still arise. The f-droid.org app (and probably web site) refer to https://librera.mobi which might... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
