I've been using Rocketdock for years. I recently formatted my PC and installed the famous Dock. I decided to run it through Virus Total and everything went ok. On the website https://hybrid-analysis.com, RocketDock is listed as malicious. Source: 9 months ago

Could you upload both .exe files on virustotal.com and hybrid-analysis.com (Make sure to press Advanced & Windows 10 64 bit) and respond with the links? Source: 12 months ago
Virustotal (https://www.virustotal.com) is indeed a good website for fast analysis. Given that this is an online platform and that they have to optimize the analysis, many scans will be done quickly, or "messed up", which means that an anti-virus on virustotal could not detect anything, whereas an anti-virus on a private computer would. Performing several scans with online services and on your own computer is the... Source: 12 months ago
Https://hybrid-analysis.com marked it clean probably because of secondary URL laundering... And I had to complete a stupid reCAPTCHA to get that useless report. Source: about 1 year ago

Just to make sure this isn't a response made out of fear that it actually is malicious, please submit the sample you downloaded and used to a website like https://hybrid-analysis.com and post a screenshot where it says it's clean, or is at least different in some way from the one in my screenshot. Also Hybrid Analysis can rank a file and tell you what it's doing (what files it opens, if it connects to the internet, etc). Source: over 1 year ago
Anyhow Virustotal is a pretty useless scanner in any case to scan anything with. Something like hybrid-analysis.com or filescan.io are much more useful because they do actual behavior analysis. The filescan report at least that was generated 22h ago (found on the virustotal community tab) does label it as malicious, and I'd certainly agree looking at all all the fake "MS Edge Update" files bundled, so it doesn't... Task manager is definitely not capable of helping anything, it's lacks any kind of actual diagnosing functionality, but using something more advanced like Provess Hacker 2 would probably be best IMO, but Process Explorer is still better than task manager but it's a very old program with a very outdated interface. Anyways running it as admin should make it easy to see exactly what the problem is for example... Source: over 1 year ago
One option would be to use services like hybrid-analysis.com or joesandbox.com to analyze the file as it executes. These essentially stand up a virtual machine, run the code, and measure all activity generated by the machine output to a report. Source: over 1 year ago
You can always run stuff like this through tools like https://hybrid-analysis.com. Source: over 1 year ago

Virustotal.com and hybrid-analysis.com mark this file as malicious. I really want to use it. Since I do not understand most of the technical terms used on these websites, I'm asking for your opinion. Please advise if it's safe to use it. Here are the links -. Source: almost 2 years ago
Just Windows Defender. If you're paranoid consider free services like 1.1.1.1 with the malware filter or addons like uBlock Origin and the like. I toss any questionable files into hybrid-analysis.com. Source: about 2 years ago
You can also analyse it on Hybrid Analysis, it’s a fantastic (free) sandbox tool that checks files against all well known antivirus providers (e.g. It checks it against virustotal and a variety of other databases) and it also performs it’s own sandbox analysis / tells you what it does, and whether it’s likely to be dangerous or capable of dangerous activities.
