Whenever I shop at Amazon, I use fakespot.com to check on honesty of reviews and half the time I ended up not buying because the fakespot determine it has high numbers of fake reviews. Source: 11 months ago
An additional friendly reminder about https://fakespot.com. It's an extremely valuable tool that highlights fake Amazon (and other sites) reviews by showing a simple A-F grade next to each product. I do not buy anything from Amazon without it, having purchased absolute junk products that amazingly had 4.9/5 from 3,846 reviews (or whatever) too many times. Source: about 1 year ago

-Reviews posted on Amazon is corrupted by fake reviews. I use a site called fakespot.com to see if the review of product I am interested can be trusted or not. As an example, CNN did product review that the writer rated very high. I found the product in question in Amazon and checked it on fakespot. Fakespot rated the product review as "D" meaning high rate of deception on review so I did not purchase it. Source: over 1 year ago
Use fakespot.com to find fake reviews. They will take a site like Amazon and analyze how many of the reviews are fake and grade the link from F to A on trustworthiness. I’ve noticed a lot of popular products with tens of thousands of reviews have a lot of fake ones. I do trust items with less reviews more. Source: over 1 year ago

In most cases looking at the recent reviews and 3 star reviews gives you a good idea. If you are still not sure you can try ReviewMeta and Fakespot. They analyze and weed out fake reviews. And looking for reviews on Reddit works great (if available). Source: almost 2 years ago

Be sure to always use fakespot when buying anything on Amazon. It helps you identify which products have fake reviews. (Many of them do.) I personally try to avoid the "fake word" companies. Sketchy as fuck. Especially for something you're putting on your body! Source: over 2 years ago

That hex ferrule crimper will probably work just fine. As long as there's enough adjustment for a decent range of sizes, it's not super critical. As far as brands go, I'd recommend reading reviews (and maybe trying one of the review checkers like Review Meta or Fake Spot, etc to weed out the robot reviews). Cheap Chinese made stuff can totally work, but there are often lots of different versions that all look... Source: over 2 years ago
Thanks for the warning on Orijen. About Amazon reviews, those can be easily faked. It's well known that many knock-off companies buy 5-star reviews. I recommend using https://fakespot.com to rate the product reviews. Even then, you can't be sure that it's not fake. Source: almost 3 years ago
Fakespot.com to check amazons reviews or rather amazons clients reviews. Source: almost 3 years ago
If you're going to buy from Amazon, I recommend first going to fakespot.com to have the site analyze the quality of the reviews. I'm super happy someone told me about that place; it's kept me from buying things based on deceptive reviews. Source: about 3 years ago
