This is apparently due to a nationwide outage on AT&T since AT&T hosts the H2O service. CNN is reporting AT&T customers report a massive outage, disrupting phone service across America
... however WiFi calling does work if you have a WiFi connection.
No cell network available in Boston, MA area. Get the error "Your phone's not registered on a network ..." when attempting to place a call and the symbol of a circle with a strike thru it appears on the top status line of my Samsung Galaxy S20 where the normal cell network strength appears. I first noticed this around 7am EST and it is now 11:30 AM
No phone service or data connectivity today - 2/22/24. Chat support not responding and call support not picking up either. Before the call starts trying to connect there is a default message - "There's currently an outage affecting some customers on all major cellular networks. We are working to restore services as quickly as possible. We appreciate your business and thank you for your patience."
